The Shapes Story
Shapes is all about learning how to dress well and feel good about yourself. The concept grew out of our knowledge that when we accept ourselves and feel good about who we are, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
We, the founders of Shapes, believe in taking control of our lives and having fun while making a positive contribution to the world. And, we believe we can do that by teaching other women how to; dress well, live with confidence and make money along the way.
To be sure, the Shapes concept is not unique – what is unique is our enthusiasm and our approach.
The notion of dressing to suit your body-type has been around for decades, however, it has never been easy to achieve. You could always buy books and wade through chapters of theory or, if you had the means, you could hire a personal consultant. But we realized, few women have the time or resources to do either. And even fewer have access to really great basic clothes that are designed especially for them – to flatter their shape.
We wanted to make Shapes accessible to everyone because we’ve seen the positive effect that self-confidence has on women’s lives. That’s why we chose the Home Party sales concept – to reach the greatest number of women possible.
Shapes is not about buying more and more clothes or being a slave to fashion – it is about learning what works for you and then building a good basic wardrobe that is both classical and stylish.
Our philosophy engenders a whole new way of looking at life. True to our core values, we sponsor Shelternet.ca, an organization that supports abused women, we partner with businesses run by women, and we use environmentally friendly products whenever possible.
